VU Foundation Thank You Card

I love this project. Each year the Vincennes University Foundation sends a thank you card to alumni and donors. The card is sent out right around Thanksgiving. For me, Thanksgiving looks like my mom baking pies, flour all over the floor, and pumpkins covering the table. However, the thing that reminds me of Thanksgiving the most is not what it looks like. It is the scents in the air. The smell of those pies, cinnamon, and apples crisping. Those smells are the smells of home, family, and gratitude.

I love illustration. To illustrate this card I first drew it on paper. Then I put it in Adobe Illustrator and used the paintbrush and blob brush tools. I used techniques I learned in my actual painting class and relied on shapes of color to create depth.
