Snorkel Ad

This realistic snorkel was made entirely in Illustrator. I made this for a class project where I could pick any object to illustrate. I love the ocean and thought it would be fun to illustrate a snorkel. Once again I shot the reference picture myself. I used the illustration to make a magazine ad. The combination of bold fonts and pops of red are perfect to stop readers mid-page turn.

To make it look real I used a variety of tools and techniques. I used the Pen Tool and Brush Tool for a majority of it. I lowered the opacity of shapes in order to create realistic blending.
